From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving School
The story of Optimistic Junior School is one of perseverance, growth, and a relentless commitment to education.
The Humble Beginning
Mrs. Tumwesige Florence started teaching in simple wooden classrooms with just a handful of learners, driven by a deep desire to bring quality education to Mpererwe.
Growing Demand
As word spread about the school's excellence, enrolment grew rapidly. The school rented a larger building to accommodate more learners and expanded its curriculum.
Permanent Home
Through sheer dedication and hard work, Mrs. Tumwesige acquired land in Mpererwe Town. The foundation of the permanent campus was laid, marking a new chapter.
Expansion & Growth
The school expanded to include a full Nursery section and upper primary classes, with modern classrooms, a library, and dedicated play areas.

Today, Optimistic Junior School is a thriving community of over 300 learners, known for academic excellence, co-curricular achievements, and a commitment to holistic education.
